We in ROZAWOOD produce several types of flattop guitars. At this page you will find basic informations about our production line and only for imagination body shapes and basic measurements. What you need to know is that we are focused to the best sounding instruments as possible and that's why we take the best care to the choice of the material. We use only top quality tonewoods for our instruments - all selected and chosen personally by master luthier. Master luthier is also the only one man who makes the final bracings setup and makes the tapering and scalloping himself only.

ROZAWOOD Archtop guitars have been created to complete our guitar family. As there are more and more guitar players searching for acoustic archtop guitars, we decided to produce three different models for various kinds of use. While the smallest 15” Archtop guitar will be used mostly by those musicians who prefer the old prewar style L-5 Gibson guitars, the biggest one of 17” size will be more suitable for all guitar players searching for the great powerful sound for swing bands or jazz big bands.

We in ROZAWOOD produce two basic types of resophonic guitars. One called RRR is roundneck type and is suitable for blues players while the RRS model is that one that is well known in the music world as a Dobro. While the Dobro is the registered trademark now, resophonic guitar is used for this kind of instrument now. Roman as a dobro player has very good feeling for the sound he would like to get from each instrument. He created a well unique new design of this kind of instrument not only according to the body shape, but also to the internal construction. It is possible to say the resophonic guitars you will find here are one of a kind in the whole world.

We in ROZAWOOD decided to recreate almost forgotten kind of instrument. When we learned there is an interest by a lot of musicians in this instrument, we started with their production. We make only limited quantity of these instruments - all hand made by the old violinmaker's tradition ways. For our mandocellos we use only absolutely top quality tonewoods, well seasoned and aged (some pieces are more than 50 years old). Only the master luthier does the final setup of the braces and their final scalloping and tuning the soundboard.

When we in ROZAWOOD learned there is also a market for octave mandolins, it was only few steps from our mandocello projects to our octave mandolins. Even though there is only few differences between mandocellos and octave mandolins according to their body shapes and construction we, however, take our best care for their production as well as the choice of materials.

Some our customers ask us for special instruments regularly. So, beginning 2009 we decided to add the Special Guitars category into our standard product lines to enable the wider public to meet with these rather rare instruments which become more popular during last years and can find their place in various kinds of music. We started with Tenor Guitar, Guitar Bouzouki is the second and some next instrument maybe will come soon…
